Shrimp on the Grill!

Since seafood was so plentiful on our trip, we managed to have shrimp at most of our meals. The Kitchen Gnome, as I mentioned in an earlier post, doesn't measure. He is very specific that it all depends upon the amount and size of shrimp he has and what is available...so...here we go. He gave me proportions.

T's Shrimp on a Skewer

1 pound medium shrimp, shelled and deveined

2 Tbsp white wine
2 Tbsp olive oil or butter
1 Tbsp soy sauce
1-2 clove garlic, finely minced
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Chopped parsley

1. Wrap skewers in a damp paper towel.

2. Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl.

3. Place shrimp in bowl and allow to sit for 20-30 minutes.

4. Slide shrimp onto the skewers.

5. Cook the shrimp over a medium hot fire (abt 350 degrees) until tails begin to turn pink and the meat turns from translucent to opaque, flip skewer. It only takes about 4 to 5 minutes. Do not overcook!

PRINTABLE RECIPE

We ate so well while on Bainbridge Island. Good food, good wine, good friends, and good conversation!
